How we calculate this

These are the publicly-listed platform fees as of 2026. Payment processing (Stripe, Razorpay, etc.) is the same everywhere — so we exclude it from the comparison and compare only the platform's take.

  • Patreon: 8% Pro / 12% Premium plan fee.
  • Ko-fi Gold: 0% on tips, 5% on shop / commissions / memberships above the free tier.
  • Buy Me a Coffee: 5% on memberships and extras.
  • Gumroad: 10% flat platform fee on every sale.
  • Substack: 10% on paid subscriptions.
  • SuperProfile: 5% platform fee on most products.
  • Bluey Coffee — our managed gateway (Free or Creator): flat 2.5% on every product (tips, memberships, shop, commissions, courses, events, bookings) when we collect. Free has no monthly fee. Creator is ₹99 first month then ₹499/mo for India, $6/mo elsewhere — region-priced, not converted.
  • Bluey Coffee — your own Razorpay or Stripe (any plan): 0% Bluey commission. We never touch the money — it lands in your account directly. The monthly Creator price stays the same; you just pay for the platform itself, not for moving the money.
