AWeber pricing explained (2026): what the tiers actually cost

Bluey Email team·Updated 2026-09-22·7 min read
The short version

AWeber prices by subscriber count across two plans. As published on 22 September 2026, Lite starts at $12.49 a month billed annually and runs from $15 to $920 a month as subscribers go from 500 to 150,000; Plus starts at $19.99 billed annually and runs from $30 to $1,050 across the same range. Lite caps you at one email list, three landing pages and three automations; Plus removes those caps. The figure that matters is the one nobody quotes: the monthly price at your actual list size, which is what the grid below sets out.

Two plans, priced by how many subscribers you store. The headline number is the cheapest possible one; the grid is the honest one.

AWeber publishes its full tier grid, which makes it one of the few platforms in this category you can price without creating an account. Everything on this page was taken from AWeber’s own pricing page on 22 September 2026. Prices change, so treat this as a dated snapshot and check the source before you commit.

Annual billing is also how the $150–$9,200 (Lite) and $240–$10,500 (Plus) yearly figures arise. A managed “Done For You” service is listed separately at $20 a month billed annually plus a $79 setup fee. A 14-day trial is offered on Lite and Plus with no card required. All as published on 22 September 2026.

The part the headline price hides

Per-subscriber pricing has one characteristic that decides whether it suits you, and it has nothing to do with features: the bill moves when your list grows, even if you send exactly the same number of emails. A list of 25,000 that you email twice a month costs the same as a list of 25,000 you email daily.

  • Unsubscribed and dormant contacts usually still count toward the tier on per-subscriber plans. Check how your provider counts them, because list hygiene then has a financial incentive attached — which pushes people to delete contacts they should be suppressing instead.
  • Three automations on Lite is the cap most people hit first. A welcome series, a cart flow and a re-engagement flow is exactly three, so the fourth flow forces the upgrade rather than the subscriber count doing it.
  • Annual billing is the quoted price. The monthly figure is meaningfully higher at every tier, so compare like with like.

How this compares with paying per email sent

Bluey prices on emails sent rather than contacts stored, which is a different shape rather than a uniformly cheaper one. The two models diverge exactly where your list size and your send frequency diverge.

Per-subscriber (AWeber)
Per-send (Bluey)
Bill tracks how many people you store
Bill tracks how many emails you send
A list you email four times a year costs the same as one you email daily
A contact you do not email costs nothing to keep
Growing the list raises the bill on its own
Growing the list changes nothing until you send to it
Automations capped at 3 on the entry plan
3 automations on Spark, 25 on Grow, unlimited on Business — no step or branch caps inside any flow
Cheaper if you email a small list very often
Cheaper if your list is large relative to how often you email it
Do not take either side of that table on trust. Put your real list size and monthly send volume into the cost calculator — it shows where the two models cross for your numbers, and it will tell you when staying put is cheaper.

AWeber pricing FAQ

How much does AWeber cost per month?

As published on 22 September 2026: Lite from $12.49 a month billed annually, or $15 to $920 billed monthly depending on subscriber count from 500 up to 150,000. Plus starts at $19.99 billed annually, or $30 to $1,050 billed monthly across the same range. The figure that applies to you depends entirely on how many subscribers you store.

Does AWeber have a free plan?

The pricing page as retrieved advertises a 14-day trial on Lite and Plus with no credit card required. Check the source page for the current position on any free tier before you rely on it either way.

What is the difference between AWeber Lite and Plus?

Caps, mostly. Lite allows one email list, three landing pages and three automations; Plus makes lists, landing pages, automations, users and custom segments unlimited and adds deeper subscriber and message reporting. If you need a fourth automation, that is the upgrade trigger rather than your list size.

Is AWeber cheaper than Bluey Email?

It depends on your sending pattern rather than on either price list. AWeber charges for subscribers stored, Bluey for emails sent, so AWeber tends to win when you email a small list very frequently and Bluey when your list is large relative to how often you send. The cost calculator resolves it for your own numbers, which is more useful than either vendor's claim.

Do unsubscribed contacts count toward the AWeber tier?

How a per-subscriber platform counts unsubscribed and inactive contacts is the single most important thing to confirm before choosing one, and it varies. Check it against AWeber's current documentation, because it determines whether your bill can rise from contacts you will never email again.
