The HubSpot connector is on the roadmap and is not built yet, so nothing on this page can be set up today. It describes what the integration will do when it ships. In the meantime you can connect HubSpot through Zapier, viaSocket, or webhooks and the REST API. Note that polling-based automation can lag by up to fifteen minutes, which matters for time-critical flows such as cart recovery.
Keep the CRM, move the email
Two-way sync between HubSpot contacts and Bluey, so your sales team keeps the CRM they use and your marketing email leaves the marketing-contact meter behind.
Typical setup: 10 minutes · No developer required · Connecting a store never raises your bill
The HubSpot integration keeps contacts, properties and deal stages in sync between HubSpot and Bluey, with field mapping and stage-based triggers. The common reason to run it is cost: HubSpot bills by marketing contacts, so moving campaign sending to Bluey lets you keep Sales Hub while dropping Marketing Hub — a saving of $890 a month at the Professional tier, plus the $3,000 first-year onboarding fee. Sales keeps working in HubSpot, marketing sends from Bluey, and both see the same contact. Setup takes about ten minutes through HubSpot's OAuth connection.
What actually syncs
The specifics, so you can tell before you connect anything whether the flows you want are possible.
| Data | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Contacts | Two-way | Matched on email address, with configurable conflict rules so you decide which system wins when both have changed a field. |
| Contact properties | Two-way | Custom properties map to Bluey custom fields. Choose per field which direction it flows, so a sales-owned field is never overwritten by marketing. |
| Deal stages | Into Bluey | Stage changes become triggers — a deal moving to 'proposal sent' can start a nurture sequence without anyone remembering to do it. |
| Lists and segments | Two-way | HubSpot lists map to Bluey segments so audiences stay aligned across both tools. |
| Email engagement | Out of Bluey | Opens, clicks and unsubscribes write back to the HubSpot timeline, so a salesperson sees the marketing history on the contact record. |
| Unsubscribes & suppression | Two-way | Opt-outs propagate both ways. This one is not optional — a one-way sync means someone unsubscribes in one system and keeps receiving mail from the other. |
What you can build once it is connected
Setting it up — about 10 minutes
- 1In Bluey, open Integrations and choose HubSpot
- 2Authorise through HubSpot's OAuth flow with the scopes shown
- 3Map the contact properties you want synced, and set the direction for each
- 4Set the conflict rule — which system wins when both have changed the same field
- 5Run an initial sync on a small test list before syncing everything
- 6Confirm unsubscribes propagate both ways with a test contact before going live
What this integration does not do
Worth knowing before you build a plan around it.
- This syncs contacts, properties, deal stages and lists. It does not replicate HubSpot workflows, sequences or reporting.
- Companies, tickets and custom objects are not synced — contact-level data only.
- HubSpot API rate limits apply, so very large initial syncs are throttled and run in batches.
- If you keep Marketing Hub running alongside Bluey, be careful not to have both send to the same contacts.
HubSpot integration FAQ
Can I keep HubSpot CRM and use Bluey only for email?
Yes, and that is the most common reason people set this up. Sales keeps Sales Hub, marketing sends from Bluey, and the two-way sync keeps the contact record consistent. What you drop is Marketing Hub, which is where the per-marketing-contact billing lives.
How much does that actually save?
HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional is $890 a month for 2,000 marketing contacts, plus $3,000 of mandatory onboarding in the first year. Emailing 2,000 contacts weekly is 8,000 sends, which is $14 a month on Bluey Spark. The saving is the Marketing Hub licence; you continue paying for whichever Sales Hub seats you keep.
Will unsubscribes sync both ways?
Yes, and you should verify it with a test contact before going live. A one-way suppression sync is how people end up emailing someone from one system after they opted out in the other, which is a compliance problem as well as a bad experience.
What happens if a field is edited in both systems?
You set the conflict rule per field. Most teams give HubSpot authority over sales-owned fields such as deal stage and owner, and Bluey authority over email engagement and subscription status. Deciding this up front avoids a slow-moving data mess.
Does this sync companies, tickets or custom objects?
No — contacts, their properties, deal stages and lists only. If your segmentation depends on company-level or custom-object data, denormalise it onto the contact record in HubSpot first so it can travel across.
